I've just had literally the situation from Tom Scott's video about two generals.

I ordered some food, the transaction went through, but about 5 minutes later I received a notification that my order was cancelled because of a technical error (also from the bank about a cancelled transaction).

So I ordered again.

3 minutes ago I got a call from the restaurant asking if I made a mistake and ordered twice.
